Memorial of Saint Rose of Viterbo

According to Wikipedia, this saint is:

- born in 1235 at Viterbo, Italy
- remarkable for holiness and for her miraculous powers from her earliest years
- lived the life of a recluse, devoting herself to penances from a young age
- enrolled in the Third Order of Francis of Assisi and preached penance to Viterbo - was so successful that she and parents were expelled from Viterbo in January 1250
- returned to her hometown with the restoration of the papal power in Viterbo
- wished to enter the monastery of St. Mary of the Roses, but was refused because of her poverty
- died on March 6, 1252 in her father's house, canonized in 1457
